Brooks receives APS Young Investigator Award

Heddwen Brooks, Associate Professor of Physiology, has received the Young Investigator Award, Renal Section, of the American Physiological Society.
This award recognizes an outstanding young investigator, pursuing
research in renal physiology, pathophysiology or hypertension.
Candidates must be less than 41 years old or less than 15 years beyond
receipt of their first doctoral degree. Candidates are judged on their
nomination letters, funding record and publications. As the recipient
Dr. Brooks will present the Young Investigator Award Lecture at
Experimental Biology 2009, New Orleans. In addition Dr Brooks will also
organize and chair a featured topic session and participate in the APS
Renal Section's "Meet the Professors Reception", a mentoring session
for students and post-doctoral fellows.
