Specialized Advising Services


Advising Resource Center
The Advising Resource Center provides referral services for students, including advising contact information for all majors and colleges, information on how to read your SAPR, sample four year plans, and an “Ask an Advisor” e-mail feature that allows students to get advising questions answered.

Career Services
Advisors in Career Services provide counseling for students regarding various careers and job searching. Resources available to students include opportunities to develop a resume, prepare for interviews, and search for jobs using Wildcat Job Link.

Major Exploration, University School
University School provides advising for both declared and undeclared students who are exploring different majors at the U of A. On-line tools available on the University School Major Exploration website can also assist you in examining your interests, skills, and values in order to help you choose an appropriate major.

Office of Study Abroad and Student Exchange
National Student Exchange is a program that allows students to attend another university in the United States (including Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) or Canada for one or two semesters, for the same cost as attending the U of A.

Pre-Health Advising Office
Advising services for students with an interest in pre-health professions are available in the Integrated Learning Center, Room 103 (626-7241). Nancy Stiller, the Director of this office, and other professional advisors are dedicated to providing a full complement of advising services to pre-health professions students.

Transfer Student Advising
The Advising Resource Center has complied a list of several useful websites for transfer students and students with transfer credit. Links include the U of A Transfer Center, the Arizona Course Applicability System, and the U of A Academic Policy on the AGEC.
