Heart with molecules

The science of genome-scale molecular analysis, or omics, is a pillar of modern biomedical and medical research.  Investigators in the Department of Physiology and from across the University of Arizona are at the forefront of developing omic approaches and utilizing them to provide unprecedented insights into human health and disease.

Examples of the omic approaches that are being actively used by these investigators include approaches of spatial omics, single-cell omics, genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.

Research in the Program for Translational Multi-Omics is enabled by the integration of cutting-edge molecular biology, bioinformatics, and data science with expertise in physiology and disease.
